Reimagining this pamphlet not only allowed me to further immerse myself in the history of women’s suffrage in America, but also put myself in the shoes of those who were radically opposed to the movement. Examining the arguments used and the specific ways of conveying the argument allowed me to better understand the cultural climate of the time and how they are still applicable in arguments made today, despite seeming outdated.

Learning from the past is vital to cultivate a better future. Reimagining this document does not mean I recreated it-- on the contrary, the full meaning of my artifact cannot be conveyed in its entirety apart from the original artifact. Only when they work in tandem can the audience best understand the narrative.
